This series was heavily inspired by the tradition of iconography, and the idea of attempting to not only capture a person’s physical being in a portrait, but their spiritual being as well. Therefore, these four paintings are my attempt at depicting the human being as a whole, both physically and spiritually, recognizing the incredible value and sacredness of each person painted. All portraits were made using oil paint on a 21 x 19.5 inch wooden panel.
